this record is the fruit of a solitary spirit, ensconced in the depths of a basement prone to flooding, where hours and hours of twilight and eve, through harsh winters and balmy summers, she lingered, with nought but a drum kit, synthesizer, and lap guitar as her sole companions, constantly listening to "in my room" by the beach boys, which is why many songs are oddly in 12/8, who thinks she is hildegard von bingen or something, waiting for the visions, yearning for light, eventually, somehow, coaxing a fantasyland out of a world of darkness.
